These terms govern your use of skarply.com and the Skarply Chrome extension (the "Service"), operated by Skarply ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

Skarply analyzes secondhand marketplace listings. You provide a listing URL, and we return a price estimate, trust assessment, and alternative suggestions. The Service is provided for informational purposes only.

2. No guarantees

Our analysis is generated by AI and based on publicly available market data. We do our best to provide accurate information, but we cannot guarantee:

• The accuracy of price estimates or market comparisons.
• That a listing flagged as trustworthy is actually safe, or that a flagged listing is actually a scam.
• The availability, price, or condition of suggested alternatives.
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

You are responsible for your own purchase decisions. Skarply is a tool to help you research — it is not financial, legal, or purchasing advice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for automated bulk scraping or analysis (one request per user action).
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass sellers, manipulate prices, or commit fraud.
• Resell or redistribute analysis results commercially without permission.

4. Intellectual property

The Skarply name, logo, website design, and analysis algorithms are our property. Marketplace listing data belongs to the respective platforms and sellers. Analysis results are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use.

5. Affiliate links

Some alternative suggestions include affiliate links to third-party retailers (e.g., Refurbed, Amazon). If you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We clearly indicate when links are affiliate links. These third-party sites have their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we may suspend or discontinue it at any time without notice. Marketplace platforms may change their structure, which can temporarily affect our ability to analyze listings from those platforms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skarply is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses from purchase decisions made based on our analysis.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Denmark.
